          With two third of earth's surface wrapped with water and our physique constituting 75℅ of it, still we are facing scarcity of potable water across the globe.Its scarcity includes lack of sufficient available water resources to meet the demands of water usage within a region. It already affects every continent and around 2.8 billion people around the world atleast one month out of every year .More than 1.2 billion people lack access to clean drinking water.
            The recent uproar in the Kashmir assembly over the water crises has cleared the air that in spite of having abundant water resources ,we are also babes in the wood.
          While the scarcity has lot of causes viz climate cause ,pollution, increased human demand and overuse, but in our part politics serve as one of the prime mover.You may be surprised by my argument but let me told you a story.
            I belong to Humpora ,the village known for its singularity in the whole lagate constituency of J&K.The village has always served as a torch barrier to laminate the entire with the message of peace and harmony. It is well known for its sacrifices it has given to establish peace and brotherhood. Without any exaggeration ,it is traced by the race who is all time willing to offer mutual help in any case and always get on with one another harmoniously.
                The inflection point in the story is that the village  has no water from the couple of decades. Not because we haven't access to any clean water body , No..! It is by the fact that we are being nullified from it.we are abjured by the people to whom the village has always served as a scout.The water streaming through the village Gundchubutra ( located in the south - west side w.r.t Humpora) is being blocked by few persons for their bogus selfish reasons while sharing a strong political support. They excuse that they will not allow the water supply to flow through their land ,on the contrary the oppressed village is a host of network of pipelines watering the nearby hamlets.
                 We have officially done all formalities. We approached the honorable deputy commissioner, who also assured us of solving the issue well in time ,but unfortunately his assurance mangled before the tyranny.
                Every MLA ,who was in the office ,waxed the issue for mere political basis. Presently the constituency is headed by AIP supremo ,known for his powerful debates in the assembly and his quagmire quarrels, Er. Rashid.We expected the must needed justice by his judgment, but we discovered he valued  his vote bank and underestimated the need .
                Dear Er. Rashid ,you are chanting the slogans of justice, but you're nourishing the ones who are blindly ruling the area by your support, as well. Let you please taught them the way of justice. You will be responsible for the this hereafter.Moreover you are talking about solving the giant issues of the nation Let You told me tomorrow what justice you will done with the interwing dispute of sharing of water resources between two nuclear powers ,which is hanged till 1948, when you have failed today in solving the 25 year old dispute between two villages.Let you not further fuss ...thank you.
                   On the humanitarian basis we must adopt antipodal behavior which we have owned. The religion of peace ,Islam, always stressed its followers to have their bond like brothers. Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) Said,"The Muslims are partner's in three water, pastures and fire" The arabic word "ma" is mentioned 63 times in the holy book ,Qur'an, giving a clear message that we shouldn't snatch others their right when Almighty is giving them.

Muslims As Physicists In The Golden Era Of Islam

From the time immemorial the anecdotes of different civilisations got transferred from one generation to other despite of the continues tragedies. Unknown number of nations ,first settled and than subjected to mal destruction.The giant palaces and well designed architecture assumed the shape of deserts. The natural calamities ,diseases, internal conflicts and earthquakes enforced many civilisations to end their journey on a tragic note.But while facing their extinction the nations were busy in recording their wisdom, either through digging stones or through lining barks .This helps man to communicate the possessed knowledge to the succeeding generations., which reached us in the form of books and digital information.
                   Much of this work was done by the muslim world during the Golden age.Through out the  Islamic Golden age ,dated from the mid 7th century to the mid 13th century ,artists ,engineers, scholars, philosophers & traders in the Islamic world contributed to almost every field ,both by preserving the earlier traditions and by adding the new innovations.In Bagdad "House Of Wisdom " was established to gather and translate the world's knowledge into Arabic which could have been otherwise forgotten.
Maulana Shibli (a.r) rightly said , ' the fact is this and no one can deny ,it that during the golden age ,muslims translated almost whole knowledge into their own language. If the muslims wouldn't have been their ,than the treasures of knowledge  Of Egypt ,France & India would have been destroyed."
              From the field of philosophy to the field physiology, from astrology to astronomy ,from geomatry to geography, Muslims have made tremendous inventions and discoveries. One of the most important of these subjects ,Muslims influenced was physics. Muslims as physicists have decorated the history of science.
1)Abu Ishaq Ibrahim bin Jandab:-  Ibrahim bin jandab was one of the most renowned Muslim astronomer of the 8th century. He invented an instrument "Isturlaab"  ,a type of telescope for observing the distinct objects. Today the world excepts Galileo as the inventor of telescope who actually just modified the  Isturlaab.
2)Mashallah   ibn Athari :- Mashallah was considered as one of the pioneer civil engineer of the Baghdad. By using the telescope ( isturlaab) he studied the space and formulated his ideas in a book ,which was considered as the first write up in the Abbasid Caliph.
3)Ahmad bin Musa Shakir:- He was the first Mechanic of the Muslim world. He attributed some wonderful inventions in the field of mechanics .It is  said that the watch ,Haroon Rashid presented to the king of France, was invented by Musa Shakir.
4)Abu Ma'shar al - balkhi:- Also known as Al -Falaki was a Persian astrologer astronomer and Muslim phislospher ,thought to be the greatest astrologer of the Abbasid court.
5)Al- Marwazi:- Marwazi is the title of several Persian peoples who where born in the town of Merr,greater khorasan ,these  People include :-
° Habash al-Hasib al-Marwazi (d. after 869 in Iraq), Persian astronomer,geographer, and mathematician who
described trigonometric ratios.
° Abu Tahir Marwazi , 12th-century
prominent Persian philosopher from Khwarezmia.
° Sharaf al-Zaman al-Marwazi , a  physician and author of Nature of Animals.
° 'Abdallah ibn Muhammad ibn Yazdad al-Marwazi (died 875), a senior Persian official of the Abbasid Caliphate in the mid-9th century.
6)Ibn al- Haythm:-
The study of experimental physics began with Ibn al -
Haytham, a pioneer of modern optics , who introduced
the experimental scientific method and used it to
drastically transform the understanding of light and
vision in his Book of Optics, which has been ranked
alongside Isaac Newton ’s Philosophiae Naturalis
Principia Mathematica as one of the most influential
books in the history of physics, for initiating a scientific
revolution in optics and visual perception .
         Innumerable other advances were also made by Muslim physicists astronomers.
         But after the crusades  from west that resulted in the instability of the Islamic world during 11th century, a new threat came from the east,the Mongol invasion in 13 th century. Eventually they invaded very wide parts of the Islamic world and entered into conflicts which resulted in the evolution of wars in the 17th century. The decline apparently continued untill the 20th century and all the treasures if Muslim world were looted away .That is why today we talk  about Newton,Galileo, Aristotle, Albert Einstein but we possess a minimum info of our brave heroes in the field of science & art.
               But defeat is not declared when you fall down it is declared when you refuse to get up. We will not refuse to get up ,we will rejuvenate ,we will rebirth, we will rediscover our lost glory.we will work  to produce physicists ,mathematicians ,philosopher's, scholars,astronomers and experts from which we departed in the Golden era.Dr. Iqbal encourages us :-

Lets Pledge To Protect The Environment

  " The environment is everything that  isn't me",Albert Einstein the 20th century's most influential genius said.It includes everything around us ,the air we breathe ,the water we drink and the soil we live upon .It is composed of both biotic and abiotic components. The nature has created both the factors in a fixed proportion and measure both of them qualitatively and quantitatively. The creator of the whole universe in His divine book ,Quran has declared that:- 
          "And we have produced therein everything in balance".
          The whole lot the God has produced is a wondrous sign and in itself expresses the greatness of its producer.He has not created anything useless,without wisdom ,value and purpose. Everything present here benefit the man directly or indirectly. Nan in the realm of nature constantly interacts with it for the air he breathes ,the water he drinks ,the food he eats and the energy he needs.we can't live without nature as we are connected with it by blood ties .
              The Edward Wilson's term ,biodiversity , referring to variety of life forms and habitats has a great importance to mankind. It is an indispensable for sustaining various services like gaseous exchange, pollination, soil formation etc .Such services will otherwise cost 16 to 54 trillion US dollars per year.Moreover it has the stupendous scientific importance.Latest estimates suggest that their are 3.04 trillion trees all across the globe.Out of which 20 plant species are used which provide 85 ℅ if world's food.Furthermore it akso possess various fabric and aesthetic values.
              This indicates that the earth provides enough to stastifies every mans need, but when need turns to greed .The man has destroyed and manipulated the nature in all its forms ,in air ,in water and in land. The concerns about the environment continues to escalate. Mounting level of carbon dioxide in the earths atmosphere would raise the temperature, melting the polar ice caps and raising the sea levels.According to the Environment Protection Agency ( EPA) ,between 1℅ and 11℅     of all marine life has succumbed to extinction between 1975 & 2015 .The water pollution snatched  the precious lives of human life by increasing the chances of malaria ,dengue ,cancer etc. Besides this the soil pollution if unchecked, could lead to extinction of all types of life upon earth ....including us.
            Now let us jolt from the earth to the paradise ,the Kashmir ,whose ecological balance has been severely disturbed as a result of unabated environmental destruction. The worry about pollution has been increased unexpectedly by the last time devastated floods which were caused as a result of climatic changes ,environmental degradation and unplanned growth. All the aesthetic places are at the verge of pollution. The sorry state of Dal lake ,the worse condition of Gulmarg ,pahalgam and sonamarg indicate the same.As estimated, the Gulmarg generates atleast 131.6 waste tons of solid waste annually. Ironically the local parks promote immodesty and ugliness instead of elegance and charm.
                Thus and so is the high demand of those efforts at global level in general and local  level in particular, which could lead to a way of healthy environment. Islam, the religion of peace and harmony, always stresses its followers to protect and preserve  the earth.The prophet Mohammad ( PBUH) said," If any muslim plants a tree or sows a feild and a human ,bird or animal eats from it shall be reckoned as a chastity from him"( Al- Bukhari)
            We can also achieve things to save the environment at individual level but when there is a team work and collaboration wonderful things can be achieved.
               Islami Jamait e Tulba Jammu & Kashmir, the largest students organization of the state ,the trustee of youthful emotions, the harbinger of peace and harmony    ,in its recent welcoming step has decided to dedicate the ongoing month for environment awareness among the students across the state .The multiple activities in all places especially in campuses ,will be undertaken ,that include , awareness rallies of students, inter school debates ,quiz ,seminars ,painting competition, poster campaigning etc.Fortunately it is an opportunity for those people especially youth of the state who want to safeguard the environment .So let us pledge ,let us help and let us participate in this   appreciating step to save this land. 

Hating The Day Of Love

        Perfect things need not to be modified but it requires a modification for imperfect things.Islam being a comprehensive religion possess a well set of rules and teachings, which are actionable to change. In Islam festivals are clearly defined and no addition or subtraction may be accepted. Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) said, " Every innovation is a misguidance and
every misguidance goes to Hell fire". Therfore believers need to sensitive in celebrating the days and events. The day or the occasion ,the Messenger of Islam ( pbuh) didn't celebrate ,is prosecutable.
            Valentine's day ,celebrated as the day of love ,has no confirmation in Islamic history and is thus forbidden to celebrate. Valentine day goes back to Roman times not Islamic times.It is one of the festival of pagan Roman's .It is a commodity which belongs exclusively to Christian's not to Muslims. In the mid February, every year Valentine followers beat the drum along with the number of myths.It is  celebrated with kisses ,flowers and chocolates. One of the popular myth related with it is that saint Valentine was executed on Feb. 14 ,many centuries ago ,for soldiers who were forbidden to marry. Since Roman times it is solemnized as a symbol of love and remembrance. Not only non Muslims but a scarce of Muslims are also falling pray of this fantasy. They concede it an occasion to express their love for each other. To put it in another way, they are unconscious about the Islamic perspective governing this aspect .
     Their is no religion ,which encourages its follower's to love and care one another more than Islam does.love in Islam is more general and comprehensive. It encourages the love of Allah,the love of Messenger ( pbuh) ,the love of martyrdom and the love of spouse. Prophet Mohammad ( pbuh) was never shy to express his love for his wife. Their Islam accepts  a bond of love between a men and a woman but only in the framework of marriage. Otherwise it is rejected.
          The crooked Valentine day invites to lust and immorality. In other words it diffuses the western culture in our society. The west civilized Muslim youths indulges in all kind of immoral steps to celebrate the illicit occasion. Consequently this becomes the podium for Islamic prosecutors to expand their ideology against Islamic dogma. Because youths form the bulk if this  manipulated solution. Quoting Sultan Salahud Din Ayubi ,said," If you would like to
defeat a community without fighting in a
battle field than spread lust amongst its
youth". Celebrating the Valentine's day ,means okaying the unislamic behaviour. Because with their whole or their minor issues in itself means agreeing with disbelief. Prophet Mohammed ( pbuh) said " who ever imitates the people is one of them" .
          This is to say that the   Valentine's day and the days complementary with it reels the world under moral bankruptcy. The greed for lust have turned  the world into an ugly place. Today particularly in west the woman have been turned into the salable commodity. Her charm ness and fairness is being exploited for  cheap interests. The Valentine day serve as a tool for such interests. As estimated in the united states ,83 percent of girls aged 12 to 16 experienced some form sexual harassment in public schools. Besides this ,this this form of human beings are assaulted ever day at every place all over the world. To avoid the turmoil and criticism ,these offensive acts are given the nice names just as Valentine day.This is not the case of west only  but  Muslim world after blindly following the foot prints of west face same crisis.
         Preventing our society from such confrontations we need to follow and grasp the Islamic knowledge. Islam shariah has put much emphasis on Haya( modesty) and sometimes it is described as the indispensable condition for the presence of Iman ( faith) .Therefore to safeguard our faith and preventing the wrath of Almighty hereafter ,we need to strive for modesty conscious society. If they can create a Valentine's day for spreading immorality and atrocity ,why can't we establish a Haya day for promoting morality and chastity .so let us pledge to say :-
              
"No to immorality"
  "No to immodesty"
  " no to valentine's day"

Education And Moral Values

The meaning of education lies inside a galaxy formed
by different views of different groups and people each
of whom thinks about purposes in different ways. In
english ,education is derived from two latin words
educure and educatum means to draw out propulsion
from inwards to outwards.Shikhsha a term used for
education in hindhi has come from the Sanskrit word
shash,means to direct or to decipline.Coming across
different education philosophies like idealism,realism,
perenialism and pragmatism putforward by Socrates,
Plato,Aristotle, Jhon Dewey etc ,one may reach at the
conclusion that education is any act or experience that
has a formative effect on the mind character and
physical ability of an individual. It is a way of
transmitting views and values from one generation to
another.The process of becoming an educated person
is education.In wider sense it is a total development of
an individual.
Education is a purposeful process . Absense of aim in
education makes it a blind alley .Aims of education are
manifold.Vocational aim or bread and butter
aim,knowledge aim,cultural aim and the supreme aim
of spirituality and morality. Character is the cream of
education and as such it should be the central aim of
education. All others should revolve round this main
purpose. All scientific, technical and material progress
must take place with the aim of making life ethically
and spiritually sound.Symbolically education without
morality is like a house without a roof.You aren't safe
untill and unless you will not have a sealed house.In
the same manner one can't shape his behaviour untill
morality don't get the first rank among all other
aims.The stuff which distinguishs educated one from
vis-à-vis is morality. An educationist from south
eastern india Dr. Zakir Hussain writes a pinpoint
thought that education implies" an individually
organized sense of values". Meana moral values play a
vital role in the collective as well as individual life of a
man.Moral values are a valuable asset of our society.
Truth,honesty,respect towards adult,regard towards
parents,repute towards teachers etc form the basis of
morality. The Quran from its first revelation stresses on
moral perfection through education. Morality in Islam
addresses every aspect of a muslim life from the
greetings to the international level.The Holy Prophet
( peace be upon him) always stressed on moral
education and marked the best moral character as the
best faith.But whenever people tried to separate the
divination and education ,mankind observed moral
degradation. In our day to day life moral values show
a negative graph.Their are several causes responsible
for the same but the most critical cause is absurd and
bogus education system.It has lost its charm.The
institutions from kindergarten to the university rank are
at the verge of moral decline. The youths become the
main victim to this deadly deasease.One cant garentee
the modesty safeness of our sisters and daughters
studying in our institutions. The way of talking,acting
and behaving of students reflects the rays of
immorality.Their is no well defined aim of their
education.Their is no sign of morality left. Who is
responsible and what is the reason ? The ans is big
that moral values education are not given much
emphasis in our curricu.Although our literature
,science etc is guidence our youth progress ,but moral
degraded progress.Unfortunately here the education
measured in terms of degrees and diplomas awarded
to a person without any weightage to morality.Co-edu
cation is also contributing towards unethicalness.A
lthough it sets healthy competition ,on the contrary it
effects chastity.The teachers are also responsible for
the same .Their fallout approach with students have
abstain the flavor of relationship. If this problem is not
solved ,it may certainly shatter the basis of our
civilization. So it is the need of hour to integerate
moral values education in our curriculum. Promoting
peer communication ,building a pure tearcher- learner
relationship and encouraging the islamic environment
will surely help in solving the issue Parents should
make their wards accountable .Students need to focus
on moral education .Teachers ought to set a living
example before their disciples as " values are caught
rather than taught

Vocational Education A Solution To Unemployment

Educated youth serves as the most intelligent and
creative cadre of the nation. The ignite minded youth
forms the major resource of the nation.The nations are
distinguished as developed and developing , on the
basis of youths work in multiple fields.They shape the
destiny of nations.But it a well known fact that the tree
bearing more fruits attracts more stones. Likewise ,this
asset of the country , face numerous hardships and
challenges. One of the major challenge they face is
unemployment. Unemployment is a chronic disease
,our youth is suffering from. Over a long period of time
we have been observing ,how the issue of
unemployment has turned out to be a major threat for
the youth in the state in general and Kashmir valley in
particular. The calmless and aimless youth of the
valley oscillate to and fro in search of their settlement.
The youth possessing high degree certificates are
begging from door to door for the sake of their job.The
graduates and post graduates prefer to work as daily
wagers and casual labourers, without a proper ans
consistent salary.This results in the contamination of
self respect.Despite having a wider vision , they shrink
themselves in a narrow vision. Estimates suggest that
nearly 25 lakh youth ,including educated and semi
educated are jobless in the state.This epidemic disease
has left many hearts wounded. The father who left no
stone unturned in managing a proper education for his
ward, manages bread and butter for him even after he
becomes educated.It gives sleepless nights to mother
whose educated & unemployed son indulges in all
kinds of illegal and immoral activities.Because
unemployment gives birth to persons like drug
paddlers,gangsters, rappists, smugglers. etc.Moreover
the immoral activities of the youth are always pointed
out and addressed ,by ignoring the basic issue. . We
have a belief that where their is a problem their is a
solution. Likewise this burning issue can also be
minimised through vocational education. The
education that prepares people for a specific trade.It
directly develops expertise in areas related to
technology, skill and scientific techniques for spaning
all aspects of trade. . This solution catches evidences
from the lines of history.Zani- ul-abideen popularly
known as Badshah ( great king) was a visionary and
foresighted man.Six centuries back (1920-1970) he
sowed the seeds of vocational education in Kashmir.
He invited art manufacturers from the foreign land in
order to taught the locals useful arts and crafts .Some
of the handicrafts introduced by him include include
papier mache,carpet weaving ,skill ,paper making
etc.He promoted Kashmiri trade at a period when
Kashmir was isolated and communication with outside
world was very difficult .These things should be
noticed and compared .Although now we live in an
advanced age but fails to proceed Busshahs mission.
The authorities have shown lackadiesal approach
towards vocational education. It is given null
emphasis in our curriculum. The statement made by
CM of introducing traditional handicrafts in schools
and colleges might come as a relief. . Policy makers
should aim at providing basic skills to every young
person by making vocational education as a
compulsory subject in schools and colleges.This will
surely help in producing skillfully and artfull persons
The persons whose degrees and diplomas will never
go in vain .The student knowing vocational education
can do a part time job as financial assistance for
studies. In this way a mega issue can be
resolved.Vocational education plays a vital role in the
human resource development and for the same reason
it is stressed in the developed countries. For instance
vocational education serves as an important part of
education system in Australia, Germany,Switzer
land,France and Italy.So, here is the need to formulate
a national vocational policy ,which may come as a
solution to unemployment.
